Can you effect some of those numbers? Absolutely - studies have show that client retention averages about 75% in major markets where the
competition is the strongest and between 90% to 95% in smaller regional markets.

However there are two items that you have absolute control over.
  • The first - how the customer feel about you - your product and service - did you make them feel "special". You know warm and fuzzy. That you
    really cared. Maya Angelou said this; "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never
    forget how you made them feel."

  • and second - you don't stay in touch with them on a regular basis. Zig Ziglar said; "People don't care how much you know, until they know
    how
    much you care." Proactive Emotional Marketing is about staying in touch with the customer/client with emotional based, informational
    communications. 
You, not the customer are responsible for building and cherishing the relationship. You must EARN their future business and referrals.
